Samsung disclosed a multi-chip memory package that it claims is the thinnest ever, for smartphones, portable media players, laptops and other mobile electronics. The device is 40% thinner and lighter than a conservative memory package.

Dell introduced consulting, management and support services for Windows 7, which Microsoft plans to release this week.
