This is what Motorola CLIQ will be known as everywhere except for in U.S.

If you're wondering what the Dext is, let us assure you that this is the same model as the recently announced Motorola CLIQ. While the device will be called the CLIQ in U.S., it seems, it will be known as the Dext elsewhere.

While the handset is set for a fourth quarter release, there is no word on when actually the handset will be released. Fourth quarter could mean anytime between October and December. That might be for the American market. If reports are to be believed, the Dext might just make its UK debut sooner than expected. In fact, the handset is reportedly going to be available on pre-order on Orange UK starting this very month - and this is said by none other than Motorola. This points towards an early October release.

The Dext is a decently equipped smartphone that features an HVGA touchscreen, QWERTY keyboard and all the other "standard" fare that includes WiFi, GPS and even a 3.5mm jack. A 5 megapixel, autofocus camera takes care of the imaging part. Now, what we are really looking forward to is the Indian launch of this one. Motorola needs more of these to come out of the quagmire it is in right now.
